The DiabetEASE Project is an Erasmus+ initiative that aims to support children with diabetes by empowering educators, coaches, and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments.
Learning Toolkit
Children with diabetes often face challenges in school and sports settings due to a lack of awareness and understanding. DiabetEASE addresses this gap by providing practical tools, training, and educational resources that help educators recognise symptoms, respond to emergencies, and support the daily needs of students with diabetes.
The project brings together organisations from different European countries to collaborate on the development of a comprehensive Learning Toolkit, designed specifically for teachers, physical education instructors, coaches, and non-formal educators. This toolkit includes essential information on diabetes management, symptom recognition, emergency response, and strategies for inclusion in both educational and physical activity settings
Capacity Building & Awareness
In addition to the toolkit, the project delivers capacity-building training sessions, equipping participants with hands-on experience and practical skills to confidently support children with diabetes in their daily activities
The project also promotes awareness through dedicated Diabetes Awareness activities, encouraging schools and communities to better understand diabetes and foster inclusive environments where all children can thrive
Our Impact

Ultimately, DiabetEASE aims to improve the well-being, inclusion, and educational experience of children with diabetes, while strengthening the professional development of educators across Europe.
